Before founding Pacific Legal, Avi worked as a Corporate and Securities Lawyer at Owens Wright LLP, Canada’s top 5 boutique firm. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law including legal transactions related to general corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, cybersecurity and data protection, corporate governance, venture capital, and private equity law. He has led frequent private placement transactions on behalf of publicly listed companies at TSX, TSXV, and CSE.
Prior to being called to the Ontario bar, Avi acted as a Legal Consultant for a series of Canadian companies covering industries such as travel, real estate, and software tech, where he contributed substantially to enhancing the legal structure, boosting the client’s global expansion to the EU, UK, and the USA. He was actively involved in helping his clients to receive grants from angel investors and led his clients at international investment events, including “TiECon 2019”, the world’s largest ecosystem of venture capitalists and angel investors at Silicon Valley, USA.

Jonas Emre is an Associate Lawyer at Pacific Legal and a McGill alumnus, having practiced in civil and common law jurisdictions. His practice touches various branches of law including legal transactions related to general corporate law, employment and commercial contract disputes, corporate reorganizations, and shareholder agreements. Jonas has a solid academic background, holding two LLM degrees, and is currently a PhD Candidate at the United Nations University for Peace.
Before being called to the Ontario bar, Jonas acted as a Legal Counsel for a series of private companies and governmental organizations covering the industries of real estate, and public international law, with a focus on the law of the sea. He has published a book and a number of articles on public international law in peer-reviewed journals. His most recent research was published in the Canadian Yearbook of International Law on November 16, 2020, entitled “Developments in Maritime Delimitation Law over the Last Decade: Emerging Principles in Modern Case Law”.

Kangan is member of Pacific Legal, located in New Delhi, India. She specializes and heads an IP prosecution and litigation practice in India. She is an advocate registered with the Bar Council of India since 2014. The key areas of practice include Intellectual Property Rights - trade marks, copyright and designs. Kangan has represented eminent and acclaimed companies from sectors like Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, Pharmaceuticals sector, Food & Beverages (F&B) sector, Information Technology sector, Banking sector and others.
She has gained a comprehensive understanding and deep knowledge of the industry requirements relating to the role intellectual property rights in the business. She is also consistent with her appearance in various Courts and Tribunals, pan India, in matters relating to trade marks, copyright, designs, other IP enforcement actions and other hearings before the Trade Marks Registry and Intellectual Property Appellate Board in India.
Munira has a background of 10+ years of cumulative working experience, including 7 years as an Executive Assistant to high profile directors in the petroleum and steel industries in the African market. She is highly proficient in office administration, and documentation. She is also studying to be a Paralegal in Ontario.
